A global IT services leader, managing over $30 billion in annual revenue, faced rising costs and inefficiencies with their integration system. Locked into a vendor-dependent solution, the company struggled with increasing license fees, limited reusability, and slow development processes that hindered their ability to onboard new clients quickly.
Solution
To address these challenges, we developed a custom integration system leveraging Node.js and Azure Functions. This serverless, scalable solution eliminated vendor lock-in, drastically improved reusability (up to 70-80%), and cut integration costs.
By utilizing Azure-native services, we empowered the client to take full ownership of their code and achieve a flexible, future-proof architecture that could easily adapt to other cloud platforms.
Business Value
In just six months, the new solution of integrating Node JS Azure Functions reduced development times by 50% and led to significant cost savings. By September 2024, four projects were integrated, with seven more in progress. The solution’s modular design enables fast client onboarding, reducing integration timelines to as little as two weeks. The client now plans to migrate all existing clients to the custom platform, driving long-term scalability and efficiency.
