Machine learning (ML) is the science of getting computers to act without being explicitly programmed. It is widely used in effective web search, self-driving cars, speech and text recognition… Machine learning is so pervasive today that we are using it many times a day without even knowing it.

Natural language processing (NLP) is a field of ML concerned with the interactions between computers and human (natural) languages, in particular how to program computers to process and analyze large amounts of natural language data. Challenges in natural language processing frequently are speech recognition, sentiment analysis, natural language understanding, and natural language generation.

The following video will guide you through the process of creating and exposing a SnapLogic pipeline as a REST API capable for sentiment analysis. The actual purpose of this ML integration is to recognize an emotion into an IMDB comment and categorize it as positive or negative.

Machine learning is a trending topic that is slowely taking over world, the software world in particular! IWConnect is always in the look for interesting and challenging tasks, so we don’t stop here. This is just the beginning of our quest in Machine learning with SnapLogic. Stay tuned we will publish some interesting content with our latest findings soon.
