I have been fascinated by technology since I was a child. Back then, we didn’t have smartphones or touchscreens. Computers were just becoming available to households, and we had our first experiences with them in primary school. We started by exchanging games, which later transitioned into software exchange. My curiosity about breaking and fixing things quickly made me the ‘go-to’ guy in my neighborhood for computer problems. I helped with everything from setting up printers to reinstalling operating systems. This likely influenced my educational path, as I became increasingly interested in math, logic, and all things computer-related.
I had a great math teacher in primary school, Slavko Shtakovski. Although I felt ‘tortured’ at the time (didn’t we all?), he taught me a lot about math and problem-solving. In high school, this helped me score higher in math and physics than in sociology or philology. This led me to choose the natural sciences path and later enroll in the Institute of Informatics at the Natural Sciences University in our country.
It was a tough path, but I eventually found a wonderful company and a job I love.
In my free time, I stay active and spend quality time with family. When I want to relax, I enjoy listening to electric or acoustic guitar music. I have been skiing since I was three years old and at one point, I represented my country in the FIS Alpine European Championships. In the summertime, I mostly play tennis (a newfound love) and run 5k’s or 10k’s. When not trying to lose weight, I like to pick up a good book, and lately, I have been hooked on Jo Nesbo’s ‘Harry Hole’ series.
