One of the hardest parts of seeking a job is introducing yourself to the company, from sending your CV to getting the job. To help, we asked our HR team for tips and advice on excelling in our recruitment process.
APPLYING
- How can I apply?
All our job openings are listed on our web page. You can apply through our “Job Apply Form” or send your CV and Cover Letter to hr@iwconnect.com. Note: Before applying, check our core values to see if they align with yours and if you are the right fit for the job and the company.
- What should I know about my CV?
Your CV gives us our first impression of you, so make it interesting. Avoid irrelevant information. Your CV should be 2-3 pages long, sharp, and concise.
The purpose of your CV is to get you an interview by showcasing your experience, achievements, and key skills. Let your CV tell the story of what you have done and what you can do.
- Is Cover Letter a must?
A cover letter is not mandatory, but it is appreciated if you want to share why you want to join our team.
- Are technical skills more important than soft skills?
Both technical and soft skills are important. You must have the required technical skills, but good soft skills are also essential for teamwork and collaboration.
INTERVIEW
- How do I prepare?
- Read the job description: Understand the skills, knowledge, experience, and responsibilities required.
2. Research our company: Learn about the technologies we use, our culture, mission, vision, and core values. This shows you are motivated and committed. You can start with your research here.
3. Prepare questions: Ask us anything you are unsure about. This shows your interest and helps you determine if the company and job are right for you.
- How does the selection process go?
The first step is testing your technical knowledge.
Next is the HR and Technical interview.
The HR interview is conducted by our HR Manager or a member of the HR team. This interview is designed to assess not just your qualifications but also your communication skills and personality. During this interview, we want to get to know you better as an individual. Share your interests and hobbies, and tell us about what you enjoy doing in your free time. We also want to understand how you handle stress and challenges, so be prepared to discuss situations where you had to manage pressure or solve problems. It’s important to be honest and confident in your responses. We value authenticity and want to see your true self, so don’t be afraid to share your genuine thoughts and experiences.
The technical interview The technical interview is conducted by experts from the field relevant to the job you are applying for. This interview is a crucial part of the selection process, as it evaluates your technical expertise and knowledge. You will be asked a range of questions related to the job responsibilities and required skills. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your proficiency and experience in the technical aspects of the role. However, if you encounter a question you don’t know the answer to, it’s best to be honest. Admitting you don’t know something is far better than trying to guess or fabricate an answer. We value honesty and a willingness to learn, and we appreciate candidates who are open about their areas for growth and show a desire to improve.
- What happens after the interview?
After the selection process and the interviews are finished, you should wait for an email or a phone call from our HR Team. We will inform you whether you are the selected candidate or not. Sometimes if we think you have the potential to become part of our team, but you are not suitable for the concrete job position, we may send you a training program so we can stay in contact, see how you develop and find something more suitable for you.
- Can I reapply if I am not selected?
Yes, you are always welcome to reapply if you think that there is another suitable job position for you. Also, if there is not any job opening that you are interested in, you can always send an open application.
- What are some other things that you look for in a candidate?
The thing that we cherish the most besides technical skills, is when a candidate shares the same core values as we do. For example, he can be a part of a big family where we see each other not only as colleagues but also as friends. He likes to step out of the comfort zone, to try and to learn new things. He has integrity, he is committed, courageous, honest, disciplined, resilient and finally, he is always there to help and to share knowledge even when it is not asked.
- I do not have experience in IT, but I want to learn and become part of your team. What should I do?
