Tackling a Complex Migration with Strategy and Speed
“This project is more than just a migration. It’s a statement of what ⋮IWConnect can do when innovation, agility, and execution come together.”
Lazo Ilijoski,
Director of Technology / Business Unit Manager

Tell us about an integration project at ⋮IWConnect that you’re especially proud of. What made this project memorable—was it a technical challenge, a creative solution, or the impact it had on others?
One of the most memorable projects was the migration of a Renewable Energy Power Generation company’s integration landscape from WebMethods to SnapLogic. What made this project stand out was both the technical challenge involved and the strategic advantage we brought to the table. What made this project stand out was both the technical challenge and the strategic edge we brought to the table.
We were the only vendor that came prepared with a custom-built accelerator for automating the migration process, and that was a clear differentiator that set us apart from globally recognized competitors. Unlike the others, we delivered a working solution under tight time constraints, demonstrating a deep understanding of both the current AS-IS state and the desired TO-BE architecture.
Our ability to demonstrate business and technical knowledge on the spot, coupled with a proactive approach, earned us immediate trust. During the discovery phase, we mobilized fast, coordinated all stakeholders, and maintained control throughout the process. The project plan included over 800 critical processes delivered across three structured development phases.
This project is more than just a migration. It is a statement of what ⋮IWConnect can do when innovation, agility, and execution come together. That’s what made it special.
Innovation is the future—what emerging technologies or trends excite you most, and how do you foresee them reshaping the integration landscape?
Innovation is the future, and what excites me most right now is the convergence of AI-driven integration, event-driven architecture, and composable enterprise platforms.
AI is already starting to reshape the integration landscape by enabling smarter mapping, anomaly detection, and self-healing workflows. AI copilots become standard within iPaaS tools, making development faster, reducing human error, and unlocking predictive insights in real time.
Event-driven architecture is another key trend for the time being. It shifts the data processing from batch-based, reactive models to real-time, responsive integration, which is crucial for industries like finance, logistics, and manufacturing.
Lastly, the rise of composable business strategies is pushing integration platforms to become more modular, scalable, and business-aligned. Instead of monolithic systems, we’re moving toward flexible ecosystems where APIs, microservices, and automation tools work together seamlessly in an Intelligent Automation environment.
At ⋮IWConnect, we are incorporating these trends into our solutions and helping clients transition from traditional middleware to modern, AI-enhanced, event-aware, and future-ready integration platforms.
Turning Roadblocks into Solutions
“My superpower is structured curiosity and breaking things down step by step.”
Marija Nacharova
Technical Consultant

When you hit a roadblock in a complex integration, what’s your troubleshooting “superpower”? Can you share a strategy or mindset that helps you untangle even the toughest issues?
First things first — coffee sets the tone for focus.
When I hit a roadblock in a complex integration, my superpower is structured curiosity and breaking things down step by step.
I start by asking: What am I really trying to achieve, and what’s truly in the way? Often, the issue isn’t technical — it’s a gap between business expectations and system behavior.
I deconstruct the logic into smaller parts, test with mock data and edge cases, and if something can’t be done directly, I find a workaround — like using a different Snap or building a reusable sub-pipeline.
Above all, I treat problems like puzzles — not roadblocks. That mindset helps me stay calm, focused, and creative, even when the solution isn’t obvious.
Security and seamless integration can sometimes be at odds. How do you find the right balance, and can you recall a project where this balancing act played a crucial role?
Security and seamless integration can be at odds, especially when navigating different access controls and compliance requirements. I address this by building security into every integration from the start—leveraging HTTPS/SFTP, OAuth2, SnapLogic’s role-based access control, and strict separation of environments.
Credentials are securely handled using SnapLogic’s password manager and account references, keeping sensitive data out of pipelines. Audit logging and thoughtful error handling ensure both transparency and protection.
This isn’t a one-time effort—it’s a standard I apply to every integration. Security is not an obstacle, but a core part of delivering scalable, compliant, and reliable solutions.
Staying Ahead in a Fast-Changing Field
“Talking with other integration professionals helps me gain different perspectives and learn from real use cases.”
Spiro Taleski
Intermediate Technical Consultant

In a field that’s always evolving, how do you keep ahead of the curve? Are there habits, resources, or communities you rely on to continuously grow your integration expertise?
Integration is one of those areas where there’s always something new around the corner – new systems, new requirements, new tools. I try to stay sharp by keeping an eye on updates from SnapLogic (since that’s my main platform), attending webinars, and just testing things out when I can.
I also follow a few online communities and tech blogs. Talking with other integration professionals- both inside and outside the company – helps me gain different perspectives and learn from real use cases. It’s a mix of curiosity, practice, and staying connected.
Every integration expert has their share of challenges. Can you recount a particularly tough obstacle, how you worked through it, and the lesson that has stayed with you since?
Starting my journey at ⋮IWConnect, which was also my first professional experience, came with a fair share of challenges. One that stands out most wasn’t technical – it was the fear I had around client-facing meetings. Early on, I worried a lot about how I would present myself, whether I’d be able to explain things clearly, and how I’d handle unexpected questions or feedback.
What helped me overcome that fear was preparation and support. I took the time to understand the client’s needs, learned how to structure my communication, and gained valuable insights from my team. With every interaction, I gained more confidence – not because the fear vanished, but because I became better at managing it.
The key lesson that’s stayed with me is this: confidence doesn’t come from knowing everything it comes from being prepared, staying calm, and being open to learning in real-time. That mindset has helped me not only in meetings, but in every part of this fast-paced integration world.
